HILTON HEAD BASEBALL ASSOCIATION (HHBA) TO SEND FOUR ALL STAR TEAMS TO STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Last time all four teams represented HHBA was in 2010

HILTON HEAD, SC…July 5, 2022…Hilton Head Baseball Association (HHBA) announced that in the first time since
2010, all four of its All Star teams representing four age groups (8U, 10U, 12U, 14U) have won their Dixie Youth
Baseball (DYB) District 8 Championship and will now advance to their respective DYB State Tournaments.
HHBA’s spring season boasted 265 young athletes ranging in age of 5-14 years, comprising of 23 teams within five
age divisions. The top players from each team were selected to create these four ALL STAR teams. All four teams
are fundraising locally and via GOFUNDME.COM (search Hilton Head All Stars) to offset the cost of travel expenses
for the families. If any of the teams win their State Championship they will advance to the DYB World Series in
August. “This is an exciting time for our program. Having four teams represent HHBA in four different state tournaments is
a testament to the talent and dedication of these young athletes and their families. The local community should
also be recognized as part of our program’s success since they continue to step up and support our teams.”
